Annual Base Salary: AUD$54,000 to $80,000 plus super

Qualification and Experience:
• AQF Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (e.g. Certificate IV in out of School Hours Care) as recognized by licensing authorities (ACECQA);
• Minimum 1 year work experience post qualification in an early childcare Centre;
• Child Protection Qualification;
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training; and
• Clear working with children checks
Duties/Tasks:
• Ensure child safety and welfare through active supervision and interaction with children;
• Provide meaningful experiences and education for babies, toddlers, and children;
• Lead the preparation of age-appropriate materials and equipment to support children's learning and development through various educational activities and programs;
• Develop positive and respectful relationships with children and families;
• Ensure delivery and implementation of routines and programs by maintaining ongoing records of children's development, program and daily information for children.
• Include and support every child, regardless of ethnicity, culture, language, gender, socio-economic background, or disability;
• Support Children to develop cooperative behaviour;
• Facilitate and extend each child’s learning and development;
• Work in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and applicable regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care;
• Work in accordance with the Code of Ethics;
• Work in accordance with the services Code of Conduct;
• Implement and upholding the services’ philosophy while undertaking all duties;
• Development of programs which reflect the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and teaching decisions to assist children by scaffolding learning and achieving goals and elements of the outcomes, principles and practices;
• Facilitate the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service;
• Keep up to date with relevant theoretical practices and apply where directed;
• Maintain and uphold Workplace Health and Safety;
• Provide ongoing support and assistance to other staff in all areas of service operation;
• Provide ongoing support and assistance to the Director and Approved Provider/Management Committee;
• Undertake other duties requested by the Director.
